Lenyll Otazz - The Catalyst Witch

 This past summer I created a brand new character who eventually became a super important part to my "M-T Verse". I think it's finally time that everyone meets: Lenyll Otazz!

What is Lenyll?

I decided to make Lenyll Otazz something very special. She's what I like to call 'A Catalyst.' This means that she holds the power to interact with other dimensions, alternate universes, other universes entirely, and visit different timelines or points in time. She is super powerful. But she can still be vulnerable. She's just really hard to kill. Once she gained her Catalyst power she erased every single other instance of her entity from existence on every other timeline and alternate universe. There is only one Lenyll Otazz at least as long as she holds her Catalyst powers. The power she holds is dangerous enough to destroy worlds if she herself isn't careful. Hence the name of her power. She also holds trickster powers which help in making her hard as heck to kill. She's a self-made Loki of sorts and uses her goober personality to her advantage. 


Who is Lenyll?

Lenyll's story starts on the planet of Maltea (The setting for another story I'm writing.) It's also the main universe and world she mostly interferes or interacts with since it's her home story. Her backstory is currently under-developed but once she learned about witchcraft and how powerful one entity could become, she went for it -- and succeeded... 

She did her research and crafted her own wand by hand in such a way that it could contain most of her Catalyst powers, holding the ability to open doors to other universes and worlds. 

Naturally, Lenyll struggles with the skin condition Vitiligo. In her world, the people around her treat her unfairly for her looks. Once she gained Catalyst magic, it put all her Vitiligo in one place: As markings on her face. She's proud of the markings, signifying her uniqueness and power. Showing that she no longer cares what she looks like, she's just waving her wand and having fun. If her power's ever drained, however, her vitiligo returns to normal. 

Personality wise: Lenyll is a wildcard goofball. She doesn't take anything seriously and loves messing with people. She causes a lot of accidents, steals random magic artifacts, and is curious enough to let her curiosity nearly get herself killed.

What can Lenyll do?

Lenyll has many, many tricks up her sleeve. Although, most of them aren't natural, yet acquired through artifacts she's gathered on her own. 

Her most natural powers come from the Catalyst magic. They are a part of her but are controlled through her wand. 

Lenyll's Trinkets:

The Wand: Holds wardrobe magic that lets Lenyll change her appearence and outfits. It also holds access to the Catalyst power within her. Without her wand, she still has the magic in her being but she channels it and uses it better when she does have her wand. Her catalyst power pairs with portal magic, allowing her access to any dimension, timeline, or alternate universe that she pleases to enter.

Sex Magic: This is an orb that Lenyll accidentally gained from a succubus sex witch she fought. She doesn't do much with it because she's still figuring out what it does. This item's magic fades when used so she's always having to replenish it with what Lenyll calls; "funny butt feelings." Other than the many things Lenyll doesn't know, she has figured out that it can genderbend people, summon succubi, and likely other mature things I care not to mention publicly. 

Lenyll is not meant to be a lewd character in any way, she's just stuck with this fascinating orb and wants to learn about it rather than discard it. She is the curious type. 

Fairy Wings: These are a pair of stolen dismembered fairy wings made into a bracelet. This allows Lenyll to float or fly. But it's at the cost of a ruthless enemy having been made. Most fairies know she's an enemy and would put up a good fight if they come across her. 

Fusion Magic: This gem can be put on the wand or the wand can channel its power when it's on Lenyll's person. Its magic fuses two subjects of Lenyll's choosing. She can even fuse herself with another subject if she wished to. Mostly, she uses it to fuse two other people for fun. 

Shielding Magic: This small wooden horse charm lets Lenyll summon a shield and a protective carriage over any subject she wishes to protect. Every hit her shield takes will remove a sliver, making her vulnerable if her shield lost its power. It recharges over time.

Frog Magic: Lenyll has not figured this one out yet.

Psycho Magic: A sip from this vile will give Lenyll temporary psychic powers. Two sips gives her the ability to transport into people's minds or dreams. Too much to drink will turn her into a total lunatic, being able to hear everyone's thoughts and go insane (This is actually a Buffy the Vampire Slayer reference)

Hell Horn: This is a souvenir. It sometimes secretes a special oil that if Lenyll consumed would give her demon powers for a few hours. She has not tempted this though. Lenyll keeps this item as a last resort in case she needs it. It's one of those things where she's not sure how dangerous it is but she'll risk it all when she's in a bit of a pickle. 
 
Reed of Life: Blowing into this reed will automatically play a special tune that brings inanimate objects around Lenyll to life. She is able to control these 'broom sticks' as long as she keeps blowing into the reed. Yes, it is a bassoon reed. 

Jester's Bell: This holds most of Lenyll's Trickster Magic. With it, she can manipulate reality to only certain extents. She can make people see or hear things. She can also create natural illusions. 

Illusion Magic: This demon eye flashlight creates any illusion Lenyll wants. She uses this more often than her trickster illusions because they are more powerful, and much more believable. 

Holding Magic: Lenyll's hat has holding magic. She activates it only if she puts her hand in her hat. She once scratched her head under her hat and got stored in her own hat by accident.

Magic Nail Polish: If Lenyll paints her nails with this, each finger has access to a neat trick. (This is yet to be figured out) Lenyll always uses this on her fingers and toes (since she has them grippers usually exposed...) leading her to have very powerful appendages when she wears the nail polish.

Frutiger Gate: This item Lenyll actually found. This item is mostly a mystery to her. However, what it actually does is serve as a communicative device between her and the planet Frutiger Aero. (Which is a concept that I've been developing about turning the entire Frutiger Aero aesthetic into a planet) The device is able to provide Lenyll with coordinates on how to get to Frutiger, but she has not figured it out. 

Familiar Summoner Cards: These cards are actually throwing cards and can summon various animal familiars. Most of them aren't good though so she only uses a select few. Her favorite is a white bunny named Monty Python. She also likes using a snake, a cat, a kangaroo, and sometimes will surprise people with an entire giraffe. His name, obviously, is Jeff. The familiars act in a similar way as Pokemon. They are activated through the cards being thrown, have powers, but once they use their powers, they retreat into the cards. Lenyll sometimes uses her familiars for simple companionship. She once walked through a park with Jeff. 

Armor Coin: This thing barely ever works but can summon cool armor. Lenyll figured out how to pair this with her Illusion magic so she can make the armor look however she wants it to.

Ring Magic: This ring has a fluid inside that allows Lenyll to summon any weapon of a few choices: Sword, Axe, Shovel, Hoe. During use, the fluid drains and once it's out Lenyll will have to make a new mix of the fluid and feed it into the ring. The ring's power luckily can last up to a few hours. 


That's everything I have on Lenyll. She's a very exciting character and I have tons of fun writing, drawing, and developing her! As of writing this, I plan to put her into Christmas of M-T 2. (A Christmas special for my channel) And beyond that, I hope to integrate her as a massive part of the M-T Verse. She does have access to it all as well as the universes of my friends. She doesn't interfere with them but likes lurking in their worlds and stories. She knows a lot about everything and nearly everyone.
