What's going on with me - February 2025
Just to keep my blog less silent, I feel like I could provide some life updates towards the end of every month. I also just like to get things off my chest, get my thoughts out there, and talk about (to others or to just me) what I've been up to and how I've just been generally doing.
As of writing this I am currently in the midst of one of the busiest weeks of the semester... but that's just part of how college works. It takes up a lot of my time and I need to dedicate a lot of my life to it. But here's the thing:
My personal philosophy on college:
I'm not really complaining about all the stressful work I have to do in order to get through the week -or even the whole month.
I just know that I'm working with my true passion in Photography and Illustration and the hard work I do is out of love for what I want to do once I graduate.
Life after college (or after I turn 25) is like a speeding truck hurdling towards me. The hard work and effort that I pour into making it through college is what I'm doing to dodge that truck and hop onto it instead. Because if I were to not go to college or get a job, I would be slammed into the next county by the truck of Life and it would be really hard to recover.
So while I have less time to work on my hobbies and get done whatever else I want to do, it's a worthy sacrifice so I can do well in school.
The things that I'm hoping to get back to soon:
While my current focus is on school, I do have several things that I'm eagerly waiting to get back to.
One of my biggest projects at the moment is working on a video where I explain the entirety of The M-T Verse. But while I get it put together, I’ve been working on creating a lot more short form content. Mainly for YouTube shorts and to gain a reach through TikTok. Although I don’t intend on making TikTok any sort of a main platform for me. I’d rather just use it to get more viewers to my channel and other platforms.
Some other projects I want to work on are just some illustrations and animations.
I hopped onto the animation meme bandwagon and started on one based on this animation trend where animators animated themselves with their OCs on this spinny thing.
My bigger animations include working back on two Christmas themed projects that I haven’t finished yet. And I started working on Welcome to Chipocot more as well!
I have so many things I want to work on to the side that I’ve put together a whole tracker so I can keep things all in one place:
The Project Tracker:
Below is my project tracker! I have no idea why or how I haven’t come up this earlier but it’s been a great help so far.
I have a list of projects that I’d like to work on. It’s formatted in a way where I have different Project Topics listed and then more specific project names under them. Then, that list is repeated across the page.
This way, I can work on a project relating to the project topic to help get me in the vibe for that particular project topic. Then I can move on to a specific project under that topic.
Each list item has 4 time stamps next to them. This is so I can moderate the time I work on these projects. I give myself up to 2 hours but split into half hours.
I set up for myself some rules to follow regarding the time stamps and the tracker in general to help moderate how I use it.
- I don’t really have to follow the list in order
- I can work on a list item for less than 2 hours and move on to another project before I come back and finish the 2 hours.
- Once all copies of a list item on the page are filled out, I have to work on everything else.
- I can only start a new page once I finish the entirety of the current one.
- If I finish a project before I fill out every instance on the page, I’ll just cross it off across the whole page.
In Conclusion:
I have a lot to work on, but I’m super excited to get stuff done! I’ll keep updating my socials and sharing my progress as I go along! I’m trying my best to not overwork myself and I think this project tracker will help me out in keeping things in order.
